My Indiana Jones Adventure
“Wear your jewels to bed, Princess?” asked Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
I certainly would have replied in the affirmative with this pictured historical museum Ceylon star.
In search of the most dazzling sapphires to film, I found myself on a plane to Sri Lanka. Guided by inside tips from a foreign diplomat one Christmas Eve, I experienced an adventure worthy of a cinematic hero’s dream. I also met this exquisite treasured gem pictured here. The culture of storytelling is the pinpoint of all.
Tell your stories. Write your stories. Film your stories. Create, innovate, and market with your stories. Everyone has them. True, I’ve been a part of two industry/professions that are ripe for storytelling-Filmmaking and Trial Law. War stories fodder for sure.
But everyone has their own. They become and are your brand. Your stories are what make you unique. Your stories are seeds planted along the way growing into your purpose. The collection of your stories are the ultimate road map to life and business.
So would you like to know what happened in Sri Lanka on that trip? What’s the story behind that magnificent jewel?
As the epic Indy Jones would tease, “Fortune and glory, kid. Fortune and glory.” Not mine but others.
Come along with me on the journey and invite the joy of the journey into your life this new year. Make your stories worthy of passing them on. More behind the scenes to follow.

I’d love to hear!
